Air Conditioner Cleaning

A proper clean is not a wipe of the filters. The unit is opened up, a catch bag goes on, and the barrel and coil behind the vanes get washed out. That is where the mould and the smell actually live, and it is the part a filter rinse never reaches.

The most common one. Book it before summer and the units are ready for the first genuinely hot week rather than three weeks into it.

The smell will not go

A unit can blow perfectly cold and still make a room smell musty. That is the barrel behind the vanes, and no amount of filter rinsing will fix it.

The power bill stopped adding up

Panels that have not been washed in years, and units working harder than they need to. Both are worth ruling out before you go looking for something more expensive.

How long does an aircon clean take?

It depends on the unit and how long it has been. A single head is usually done inside the hour, and a house full of them is a morning. We will tell you what to expect when you book.

Do I have to be home?

No. Plenty of customers explain how to get in and we keep them posted from the job. If you would rather be there, tell us the window that suits and we will work to it.

Can you do the panels and the roof in one visit?

Yes, and it is usually the cheapest way to do it since we are already up there. Same goes for the air conditioners while we are at the house.

Will the clean make the aircon colder?

A blocked unit is working against itself, so once the barrel, coil and filters are clear it moves air the way it was built to. Customers describe rooms cooling faster and the musty smell being gone.

What if I am on tank water?

Tell us when you book. It is a common thing to ask about around here and we will talk you through how we would do the job at your place.
